Some pics from my little hike around the South Mountain area awhile ago... if you call it a mountain. Lots of cactus, some view of Phoenix stretching on and on and on and on.
I like the clarity of these photos. The blue sky contrasts sharply with the smog hanging over the gigantic city. Where is this "mountain"? How high is it? Have you hiked it since? Pretty cool to hike like that in January without worrying about snow.

Look's hot . . . and dry . . . the cactus looks spiffy though. Watch out for big desert bugs :)
